TO REPORT AN EMERGENCY CALL 9-1-1
To promote life safety and reduce suffering and property loss through public education and fire prevention. To mitigate the consequences of fire, accident, sudden illness, or disaster in the community. To recognize that every individual is valuable and to maximize each member’s potential. To reach into the future, never forgetting the past, those who served, and those who we served.
We envision a safe, resilient community supported by a trusted fire department that values training, teamwork, and service, and that honors its legacy while preparing responsibly for the future.
We proudly protect over 15,000 residents across 36.5 square miles from a single station, serving a primarily residential community through a dedicated combination of paid and volunteer members.

[1] Before incorporation, the Angier and Black River areas formed a rural landscape shaped by the Cape Fear River basin. Harnett County was created in 1855 from Cumberland County, but settlement accelerated around 1899 when the Cape Fear and Northern Railroad, built by Jonathan Cicero Angier, connected local lumber and tobacco to Raleigh markets. In 1901, commerce established what became the downtown core of Angier today.
