A Message from the Fire Chief

At Angier & Black River Fire Department, we polish our trucks, clean our equipment, provide cool uniforms, and yes, the lights and sirens still get us excited a bit. 

But the real reason we show up isn’t the cool trucks, gear, lights, and sirens. It is commitment. It is believing in belonging to something good, showing up at 2 a.m. when the tones drop, and standing ready when things go sideways. 

It’s always being there when you need us.

We believe in teamwork, earned respect, and, most importantly, we truly believe this community is worth protecting. If you’ve got a little grit, a servant’s heart, and the strength and courage to step forward, there is a place for you at our firehouse. 

We’ll give you the training and the gear. The rest comes from who you are. We are proud to serve and ready when you need us, but hopefully you never will!
